As a K–12 vendor, we comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Texas Education Code § 11.175 (SB 820), and industry best practices for safeguarding student information.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate and improve our platform, including:
- Student names, usernames, and account credentials
- Assessment responses, scores, and learning analytics
- Teacher, parent, and administrator account information

Studystruct uses collected information solely for educational purposes, including:

FERPA Compliance
Studystruct acts as a “school official” under FERPA, using student information only for legitimate educational interests defined by the district. We do not disclose personally identifiable student information (PII) except as authorized by the district or required by law.
Texas SB 820 Compliance
In accordance with Texas Education Code § 11.175, Studystruct maintains a cybersecurity framework aligned with industry standards. We implement policies, procedures, and technical safeguards to protect student data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Security & Compliance
Studystruct follows SOC 2–aligned security practices, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and encryption at rest
- Role-based access controls and least-privilege permissions
- Continuous monitoring and intrusion detection
- Secure hosting environments with physical and network safeguards
- Audit logging and access tracking
Data Retention Policy
Studystruct retains data only for as long as necessary to support educational services or as required by district agreements. Districts may request:
- Export of student data
- Deletion of student or staff accounts
- Removal of assessment records
Upon contract termination, Studystruct deletes or returns all district data in accordance with FERPA and district policy.
Data Sharing
Studystruct does not sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising or marketing. Limited data may be shared only with vetted service providers who support core platform operations and meet strict confidentiality and security requirements.
Cookies & Tracking
Cookies are used to maintain login sessions and support essential platform functionality. Disabling cookies may limit access to certain features.
Your Rights
Depending on your role and district policies, you may request to:
- Access or review student data
- Correct or update account information
- Request deletion of data where permitted by law
Changes to This Policy
Studystruct may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
